OUR STORY

A MILLION WOMEN AFRICA

Papa Lou Engle
Papa Lou Engle – a father to the nations

PAPA LOU ENGLE

Over the last 25 years, Papa Lou has stewarded Joel 2 gatherings that contended for repentance, renewal, and the prophetic destiny of nations. His fatherhood released a mantle that now burns across Africa.

THE BIRTH OF A Million Women Africa

In 2024, up to 300,000 people gathered in Washington, D.C., while more than 10 million joined online for A Million Women (AMW) on October 12th, the Day of Atonement. Together, we prayed, fasted, and repented for the nations in a historic gathering that became a global summons for Esthers and Mordecais to rise and contend for their nations.

Out of this divine moment, A Million Women Africa (AMWA) was born — under the continental leadership of Apostle Isi Igenegba. Through solemn assemblies, equipping sessions, and strategic intercession across the nations of Africa and the diaspora, AMWA aims to equip the Body of Christ in prophetic intercession and facilitate national awakening.

KAIROS AFRICA & THE ROAD TO 2026

In 2025, on the Day of Atonement, Kairos Africa brought together leaders and intercessors from 35 African nations in a unified cry of repentance and consecration. Representatives stood in the gap for their nations, seeking God's mercy and direction during a season of growing global instability. This moment marked a shared continental posture before the Lord.

THE PRAYERS OF A MILLION MOTHERS

"I answered the prayers of a million mothers." — The Lord to Francis Frangipane

In studying the history of revivals, Francis Frangipane noticed something striking: every revival was preceded by an organized prayer movement—except one. Curious, he asked the Lord why. The Lord replied, "I answered the prayers of a million mothers."

"Blow the trumpet, consecrate a fast, gather the people" — the gathering called every generation to the altar, with no one exempt.

In September 2000, after God miraculously provided for the work, 400,000 young adults gathered on the National Mall in Washington D.C. for a Joel 2-style solemn assembly of fasting and prayer — modeled after heaven's prescription for a nation in crisis.

The Lord answered the prayers of mothers across generations, and that cry continues to echo across Africa today. A Million Women Africa stands on that same promise: that united prayer, fasting, and consecration will shift the destiny of nations.
